ܡܟܝܠ ܐܚܝ ܒܥܝܢܢ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܘܡܬܟܫܦܝܢܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܒܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܕܐܝܟ ܕܩܒܠܬܘܢ ܡܢܢ ܐܝܟܢ ܘܠܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܬܗܠܟܘܢ ܘܬܫܦܪܘܢ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܕܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܬܘܣܦܘܢ
mkyl 'khy beynn mnkwn wmthkshpynn lkwn bmrn yshwe d'yk dqblthwn mnn 'ykn wl' lkwn dthhlkwn wthshprwn l'lh' dythyr'yth thwspwn
Finally then, brothers, we beg and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, that you abound more and more.

ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܦܘܩܕܢܐ ܝܗܒܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܒܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ
ydeyn 'nthwn gyr 'ylyn pwqdn' yhbn lkwn bmrn yshwe
For you know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Jesus.

ܗܢܘ ܓܝܪ ܨܒܝܢܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܩܕܝܫܘܬܟܘܢ ܘܕܬܗܘܘܢ ܦܪܝܩܝܢ ܡܢ ܟܠ ܙܢܝܘܬܐ
hnw gyr tsbynh d'lh' qdyshwthkwn wdthhwwn pryqyn mn kl znywth'
For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality,

ܘܢܗܘܐ ܝܕܥ ܐܢܫ ܐܢܫ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܠܡܩܢܐ ܡܐܢܗ ܒܩܕܝܫܘܬܐ ܘܒܐܝܩܪܐ
wnhw' yde 'nsh 'nsh mnkwn lmqn' m'nh bqdyshwth' wb'yqr'
that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor,

ܘܠܐ ܒܚܫܐ ܕܪܓܬܐ ܐܝܟ ܫܪܟܐ ܕܥܡܡܐ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܠܐܠܗܐ
wl' bkhsh' drgth' 'yk shrk' demm' hnwn dl' ydeyn l'lh'
not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God;

ܘܠܐ ܬܗܘܘܢ ܡܫܝܚܝܢ ܠܡܥܒܪ ܘܠܡܥܠܒ ܐܢܫ ܠܐܚܘܗܝ ܒܗܕܐ ܨܒܘܬܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܡܪܢ ܗܘ ܬܒܘܥܐ ܥܠ ܗܠܝܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܐܦ ܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܙܒܢܐ ܐܡܪܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܘܣܗܕܢ
wl' thhwwn mshykhyn lmebr wlmelb 'nsh l'khwhy bhd' tsbwth' mTl dmrn hw thbwe' el hlyn klhyn 'ykn' d'p mn qdm zbn' 'mrn lkwn wshdn
that no one should take advantage of and wrong a brother or sister in this matter; because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as also we forewarned you and testified.

ܠܐ ܓܝܪ ܩܪܟܘܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܠܛܢܦܘܬܐ ܐܠܐ ܠܩܕܝܫܘܬܐ
l' gyr qrkwn 'lh' lTnpwth' 'l' lqdyshwth'
For God called us not for uncleanness, but in sanctification.

ܡܟܝܠ ܡܢ ܕܛܠܡ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܠܒܪܢܫܐ ܛܠܡ ܐܠܐ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܗܘ ܕܝܗܒ ܒܟܘܢ ܪܘܚܗ ܩܕܝܫܬܐ
mkyl mn dTlm l' hw' lbrnsh' Tlm 'l' l'lh' hw dyhb bkwn rwkhh qdyshth'
Therefore he who rejects this doesn’t reject man, but God, who has also given his Holy Spirit to you.

ܥܠ ܚܘܒܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܐܚܐ ܠܐ ܣܢܝܩܝܬܘܢ ܠܡܟܬܒ ܠܟܘܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܩܢܘܡܟܘܢ ܡܠܦܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܕܬܚܒܘܢ ܚܕ ܠܚܕ
el khwb' dyn d'kh' l' snyqythwn lmkthb lkwn 'nthwn gyr qnwmkwn mlp' 'nthwn d'lh' dthkhbwn khd lkhd
But concerning brotherly love, you have no need that one write to you. For you yourselves are taught by God to love one another,

ܐܦ ܥܒܕܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܗܟܢܐ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܐܚܐ ܕܒܟܠܗ ܡܩܕܘܢܝܐ ܒܥܐ ܐܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܐܚܝ ܕܬܬܝܬܪܘܢ
'p ebdyn 'nthwn hkn' lklhwn 'kh' dbklh mqdwny' be' 'n' dyn mnkwn 'khy dththythrwn
for indeed you do it toward all the brothers who are in all Macedonia. But we exhort you, brothers, that you abound more and more;

ܘܬܬܚܦܛܘܢ ܕܬܗܘܘܢ ܫܠܝܢ ܘܥܢܝܢ ܒܣܘܥܪܢܝܟܘܢ ܘܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܦܠܚܝܢ ܒܐܝܕܝܟܘܢ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܦܩܕܢܟܘܢ
wththkhpTwn dthhwwn shlyn wenyn bswernykwn whwythwn plkhyn b'ydykwn 'ykn' dpqdnkwn
and that you make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, even as we instructed you;

ܕܬܗܘܘܢ ܡܗܠܟܝܢ ܒܐܣܟܡܐ ܠܘܬ ܒܪܝܐ ܘܥܠ ܐܢܫ ܠܐ ܬܣܬܢܩܘܢ
dthhwwn mhlkyn b'skm' lwth bry' wel 'nsh l' thsthnqwn
that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and may have need of nothing.

ܨܒܐ ܐܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܬܕܥܘܢ ܐܚܝ ܕܥܠ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܕܡܟܝܢ ܠܐ ܬܗܘܐ ܟܪܝܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܫܪܟܐ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܕܣܒܪܐ ܠܝܬ ܠܗܘܢ
tsb' 'n' dyn dthdewn 'khy del 'ylyn ddmkyn l' thhw' kry' lkwn 'yk shrk' d'nsh' dsbr' lyth lhwn
But we don’t want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you don’t grieve like the rest, who have no hope.

ܐܢ ܓܝܪ ܡܗܝܡܢܝܢܢ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܡܝܬ ܘܩܡ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܐܠܗܐ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܕܡܟܘ ܒܝܫܘܥ ܡܝܬܐ ܥܡܗ
'n gyr mhymnynn dyshwe myth wqm hkn' 'p 'lh' l'ylyn ddmkw byshwe myth' emh
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.

ܗܕܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪܝܢܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܒܡܠܬܗ ܕܡܪܢ ܕܚܢܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܫܬܚܪܝܢܢ ܒܡܐܬܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܢ ܕܚܝܝܢܢ ܠܐ ܢܕܪܟ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܕܡܟܘ
hd' dyn 'mrynn lkwn bmlthh dmrn dkhnn 'ylyn dmshthkhrynn bm'thythh dmrn dkhyynn l' ndrk l'ylyn ddmkw
For this we tell you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will in no way precede those who have fallen asleep.

ܡܛܠ ܕܗܘ ܡܪܢ ܒܦܘܩܕܢܐ ܘܒܩܠܐ ܕܪܝܫ ܡܠܐܟܐ ܘܒܩܪܢܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܢܚܬ ܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܘܡܝܬܐ ܕܒܡܫܝܚܐ ܢܩܘܡܘܢ ܠܘܩܕܡ
mTl dhw mrn bpwqdn' wbql' drysh ml'k' wbqrn' d'lh' nkhth mn shmy' wmyth' dbmshykh' nqwmwn lwqdm
For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with God’s trumpet. The dead in Christ will rise first,

ܘܗܝܕܝܢ ܚܢܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܫܬܚܪܝܢܢ ܕܚܝܝܢܢ ܢܬܚܛܦ ܥܡܗܘܢ ܐܟܚܕܐ ܒܥܢܢܐ ܠܐܘܪܥܗ ܕܡܪܢ ܒܐܐܪ ܘܗܟܢܐ ܒܟܠܙܒܢ ܥܡ ܡܪܢ ܢܗܘܐ
whydyn khnn 'ylyn dmshthkhrynn dkhyynn nthkhTp emhwn 'kkhd' benn' l'wreh dmrn b''r whkn' bklzbn em mrn nhw'
then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. So we will be with the Lord forever.

ܗܘܘ ܗܟܝܠ ܡܒܝܐܝܢ ܚܕ ܠܚܕ ܒܡܠܐ ܗܠܝܢ

Therefore comfort one another with these words.
