ܡܟܝܠ ܐܚܝ ܒܥܝܢܢ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܘܡܬܟܫܦܝܢܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܒܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܕܐܝܟ ܕܩܒܠܬܘܢ ܡܢܢ ܐܝܟܢ ܘܠܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܬܗܠܟܘܢ ܘܬܫܦܪܘܢ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܕܝܬܝܪܐܝܬ ܬܘܣܦܘܢ
thwspwn dythyr'yth l'lh' wthshprwn dthhlkwn lkwn wl' 'ykn mnn dqblthwn d'yk yshwe bmrn lkwn wmthkshpynn mnkwn beynn 'khy mkyl
Finally then, brothers, we beg and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, that you abound more and more.

ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܦܘܩܕܢܐ ܝܗܒܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܒܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ
yshwe bmrn lkwn yhbn pwqdn' 'ylyn gyr 'nthwn ydeyn
For you know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Jesus.

ܗܢܘ ܓܝܪ ܨܒܝܢܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܩܕܝܫܘܬܟܘܢ ܘܕܬܗܘܘܢ ܦܪܝܩܝܢ ܡܢ ܟܠ ܙܢܝܘܬܐ
znywth' kl mn pryqyn wdthhwwn qdyshwthkwn d'lh' tsbynh gyr hnw
For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality,

ܘܢܗܘܐ ܝܕܥ ܐܢܫ ܐܢܫ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܠܡܩܢܐ ܡܐܢܗ ܒܩܕܝܫܘܬܐ ܘܒܐܝܩܪܐ
wb'yqr' bqdyshwth' m'nh lmqn' mnkwn 'nsh 'nsh yde wnhw'
that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor,

ܘܠܐ ܒܚܫܐ ܕܪܓܬܐ ܐܝܟ ܫܪܟܐ ܕܥܡܡܐ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܠܐܠܗܐ
l'lh' ydeyn dl' hnwn demm' shrk' 'yk drgth' bkhsh' wl'
not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God;

ܘܠܐ ܬܗܘܘܢ ܡܫܝܚܝܢ ܠܡܥܒܪ ܘܠܡܥܠܒ ܐܢܫ ܠܐܚܘܗܝ ܒܗܕܐ ܨܒܘܬܐ ܡܛܠ ܕܡܪܢ ܗܘ ܬܒܘܥܐ ܥܠ ܗܠܝܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܐܦ ܡܢ ܩܕܡ ܙܒܢܐ ܐܡܪܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܘܣܗܕܢ
wshdn lkwn 'mrn zbn' qdm mn d'p 'ykn' klhyn hlyn el thbwe' hw dmrn mTl tsbwth' bhd' l'khwhy 'nsh wlmelb lmebr mshykhyn thhwwn wl'
that no one should take advantage of and wrong a brother or sister in this matter; because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as also we forewarned you and testified.

ܠܐ ܓܝܪ ܩܪܟܘܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܠܛܢܦܘܬܐ ܐܠܐ ܠܩܕܝܫܘܬܐ
lqdyshwth' 'l' lTnpwth' 'lh' qrkwn gyr l'
For God called us not for uncleanness, but in sanctification.

ܡܟܝܠ ܡܢ ܕܛܠܡ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܠܒܪܢܫܐ ܛܠܡ ܐܠܐ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܗܘ ܕܝܗܒ ܒܟܘܢ ܪܘܚܗ ܩܕܝܫܬܐ
qdyshth' rwkhh bkwn dyhb hw l'lh' 'l' Tlm lbrnsh' hw' l' dTlm mn mkyl
Therefore he who rejects this doesn’t reject man, but God, who has also given his Holy Spirit to you.

ܥܠ ܚܘܒܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܐܚܐ ܠܐ ܣܢܝܩܝܬܘܢ ܠܡܟܬܒ ܠܟܘܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܩܢܘܡܟܘܢ ܡܠܦܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܕܬܚܒܘܢ ܚܕ ܠܚܕ
lkhd khd dthkhbwn d'lh' 'nthwn mlp' qnwmkwn gyr 'nthwn lkwn lmkthb snyqythwn l' d'kh' dyn khwb' el
But concerning brotherly love, you have no need that one write to you. For you yourselves are taught by God to love one another,

ܐܦ ܥܒܕܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܗܟܢܐ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܐܚܐ ܕܒܟܠܗ ܡܩܕܘܢܝܐ ܒܥܐ ܐܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܐܚܝ ܕܬܬܝܬܪܘܢ
dththythrwn 'khy mnkwn dyn 'n' be' mqdwny' dbklh 'kh' lklhwn hkn' 'nthwn ebdyn 'p
for indeed you do it toward all the brothers who are in all Macedonia. But we exhort you, brothers, that you abound more and more;

ܘܬܬܚܦܛܘܢ ܕܬܗܘܘܢ ܫܠܝܢ ܘܥܢܝܢ ܒܣܘܥܪܢܝܟܘܢ ܘܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܦܠܚܝܢ ܒܐܝܕܝܟܘܢ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܦܩܕܢܟܘܢ
dpqdnkwn 'ykn' b'ydykwn plkhyn whwythwn bswernykwn wenyn shlyn dthhwwn wththkhpTwn
and that you make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, even as we instructed you;

ܕܬܗܘܘܢ ܡܗܠܟܝܢ ܒܐܣܟܡܐ ܠܘܬ ܒܪܝܐ ܘܥܠ ܐܢܫ ܠܐ ܬܣܬܢܩܘܢ
thsthnqwn l' 'nsh wel bry' lwth b'skm' mhlkyn dthhwwn
that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and may have need of nothing.

ܨܒܐ ܐܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܬܕܥܘܢ ܐܚܝ ܕܥܠ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܕܡܟܝܢ ܠܐ ܬܗܘܐ ܟܪܝܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܐܝܟ ܫܪܟܐ ܕܐܢܫܐ ܕܣܒܪܐ ܠܝܬ ܠܗܘܢ
lhwn lyth dsbr' d'nsh' shrk' 'yk lkwn kry' thhw' l' ddmkyn 'ylyn del 'khy dthdewn dyn 'n' tsb'
But we don’t want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you don’t grieve like the rest, who have no hope.

ܐܢ ܓܝܪ ܡܗܝܡܢܝܢܢ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܡܝܬ ܘܩܡ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܦ ܐܠܗܐ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܕܡܟܘ ܒܝܫܘܥ ܡܝܬܐ ܥܡܗ
emh myth' byshwe ddmkw l'ylyn 'lh' 'p hkn' wqm myth dyshwe mhymnynn gyr 'n
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus.

ܗܕܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪܝܢܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܒܡܠܬܗ ܕܡܪܢ ܕܚܢܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܫܬܚܪܝܢܢ ܒܡܐܬܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܢ ܕܚܝܝܢܢ ܠܐ ܢܕܪܟ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܕܡܟܘ
ddmkw l'ylyn ndrk l' dkhyynn dmrn bm'thythh dmshthkhrynn 'ylyn dkhnn dmrn bmlthh lkwn 'mrynn dyn hd'
For this we tell you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will in no way precede those who have fallen asleep.

ܡܛܠ ܕܗܘ ܡܪܢ ܒܦܘܩܕܢܐ ܘܒܩܠܐ ܕܪܝܫ ܡܠܐܟܐ ܘܒܩܪܢܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܢܚܬ ܡܢ ܫܡܝܐ ܘܡܝܬܐ ܕܒܡܫܝܚܐ ܢܩܘܡܘܢ ܠܘܩܕܡ
lwqdm nqwmwn dbmshykh' wmyth' shmy' mn nkhth d'lh' wbqrn' ml'k' drysh wbql' bpwqdn' mrn dhw mTl
For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with God’s trumpet. The dead in Christ will rise first,

ܘܗܝܕܝܢ ܚܢܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܡܫܬܚܪܝܢܢ ܕܚܝܝܢܢ ܢܬܚܛܦ ܥܡܗܘܢ ܐܟܚܕܐ ܒܥܢܢܐ ܠܐܘܪܥܗ ܕܡܪܢ ܒܐܐܪ ܘܗܟܢܐ ܒܟܠܙܒܢ ܥܡ ܡܪܢ ܢܗܘܐ
nhw' mrn em bklzbn whkn' b''r dmrn l'wreh benn' 'kkhd' emhwn nthkhTp dkhyynn dmshthkhrynn 'ylyn khnn whydyn
then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. So we will be with the Lord forever.
